forecasting, and cash flow planning processesAnalyze financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiencyPartner with cross-functional teams to improve financial understanding and support business objectivesAssist with strategic initiatives, cost optimization efforts, and financial evaluations of business opportunitiesAccounts Receivable, Payable, & Inventory ManagementManage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing, collections, and adherence to corporate credit policiesMonitor key performance indicators such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and bad debt exposureCollaborate with operations to oversee inventory counts, valuation, reconciliations, and turnover analysis, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolvedPrepare and post all incoming payments by cheque or transfersFollow-up with customers on expected payments and overdue accountsPayroll, Tax, & Regulatory ComplianceOversee Canadian payroll, CRA remittances, GST/HST filings (including recaptured Input Tax Credits [ITCs]), WSIB, Employer Health Tax [EHT], and other statutory reporting requirementsCoordinate U.S. payroll administration, including weekly payroll processing, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, Internal Revenue Service [IRS] and state reporting requirements, W-2 preparation, Form 5471 reporting, and other applicable U.S. tax compliance obligationsEnsure the timely completion of all government, tax, and regulatory filings and maintain compliance with applicable legislationLiaise with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies for year-end reporting, audits, and tax complianceInternal Controls & Risk ManagementMaintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirementsIdentify financial, operational, and compliance risks and implement corrective actions where necessaryEnsure financial processes support audit readiness and regulatory complianceVerify post and distribute all sales invoicesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementAllocate work, establish priorities,
