Join the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service as an On-Call Detention Guard/Matron committed to inmate care and facility security. Operational flexibility is key in this pivotal role. As a Detention Guard, your primary focus will be monitoring individuals in custody, under the guidance of WTPS policies.

You will ensure the safety of prisoners and assist police officers when required, fostering a respectful and secure workplace. This position is based in Wikwemikong Unceded Territory and requires a responsible and proactive approach. Key Responsibilities:

- Frequently oversee the security and welfare of prisoners
- Assist WTPS Officers with prisoner searches after training
- Conduct thorough inspections of cells before and after use
- Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed
- Monitor fire safety and adhere to fire orders Requirements:
- Must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Valid class G Ontario Driver License is required
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office knowledge
