Join our dynamic dental team as a Part time Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and deliver exceptional patient care. We are a small family practice located in the Carlisle. This role would be for Mondays and Tuesdays to take over for a long time RDH that is retiring.
We tailor our care to the needs of our patients. Your energetic and compassionate approach will ensure a positive experience for every patient while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. We follow all current IPAC, CDHO and RCDSO guidelines.
Paid sick days, uniform and CE allowance.
Responsibilities
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations by documenting medical histories and current dental concerns
- Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols and sterilizing instruments
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as updating patient records using Dentrix software
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring their comfort throughout procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Experience working in a dental office setting
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Proficiency in hand and ultrasonic instrumentation
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
