Role Description The Parts Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Thunder Bay, ON. In this position, the team member is responsible for assisting customers and internal technicians with identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts for various equipment lines. Day-to-day tasks include managing parts inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment.
The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, organizing stock, performing regular counts, and coordinating with suppliers and other branches as needed.
The Parts
Specialist maintains detailed records in the parts system,
supports warranty and returns processes, and provides clear communication to ensure a positive and efficient customer experience.
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with the ability to build positive, professional relationships and respond effectively to inquiries.
- Inventory Management and Inventory Control skills to track, organize, and maintain parts stock accurately.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Experience working with parts, equipment, or automotive/heavy machinery environments is an asset.
- Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, data entry).
- Detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in office, including occasional lifting or physical activity related to parts handling.
- Completion of secondary education; post-secondary training in parts management, business, or a related field is an advantage.
