UHN is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner for its Pediatric Aftercare Program at Princess Margaret Hospital. This part-time position involves working with cancer survivors to enhance their well-being. You will focus on issues like anxiety, self-esteem, and relationships, helping young patients adjust after cancer treatment.
With a commitment to patient-centered care, you will utilize evidence-based strategies and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive care for each survivor. Occasional virtual visits will complement your in-person consultations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a weekly Survivorship Clinic
- Develop follow-up plans in line with oncology guidelines
- Share findings with primary care and specialty teams
- Arrange necessary investigations and specialist referrals
- Work collaboratively with the SickKids Aftercare team Requirements:
- Licensed to practice in Ontario, valuable standing with CPSO
- Experience in cancer care within acute settings
- Strong commitment to effective and compassionate care
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships Support young cancer survivors as they transition to healthy lives at UHN.
