Support Gowling WLG as a Conflict Specialist, focusing on assessing conflicts and ensuring ethical practices in legal work. This contract role is essential for balancing client interests and legal integrity.
In this position, you will be part of the Conflicts Assessment and Matter Analysis Team (CAMAT) with a strong focus on managing conflicts across various sectors. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ legal experience, a keen interest in technology, and exceptional problem-solving skills to navigate a rapid-paced environment supportive of the firm's clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and manage ethical screens to mitigate conflicts
• Perform detailed conflict searches using NBI/Intapp systems
• Conduct analyses of new client matters for potential conflicts




• Collaborate with international teams on conflict resolutions
• Test and improve client onboarding processes
Requirements:
• Three years’ experience in a legal or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• High proficiency in technology, particularly MS Office
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• French language skills may be required in some offices
