Pay or shift range: $121,618 CAD to $143,080 CAD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.DescriptionOverview and Purpose of the RoleReporting to the Chief of Operations and Nursing Officer, the incumbent in this role will hold overall responsibility for the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This role is responsible for managing the department, its technical and support staff, providing leadership and oversight to ensure the safe and effective delivery of services. The role also encompasses responsibilities related to planning and operations, financial management, and quality management, all aimed at maintaining high standards of performance and care within the department.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Develop and implement short and long-term goals that enhance departmental services, with a focus on optimizing service delivery and improving daily operationsDesign and implement effective systems, processes, and procedures to support the efficient completion of work assignmentsEnsure the delivery of high-quality services that uphold patient privacy and confidentiality, are clinically appropriate, and are provided in a timely and competent mannerOversee resource management, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and reliablyManage supply ordering and inventory control, maintaining an up-to-date equipment and service database to monitor availability and schedule necessary serviceParticipate in operational and strategic planning activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and clinical practice guidelinesLiaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the clinical and operational needs of the departmentDevelop and maintain effective partnerships with key internal and external parties to support optimal service deliveryAlign departmental goals and objectives with organizational priorities, identifying and executing time-sensitive initiatives as requiredPrepare documentation to support planning initiatives that address clinical, financial,



and human resource needsContribute to the design and implementation of measurement tools and quality management initiatives to improve service delivery and track performance against key indicatorsCoach staff to embed continuous quality improvement principles into day-to-day operationsEnsure consistent delivery of quality standards across all work activitiesImplement tools to collect and analyze customer service feedback, using insights to support staff development and service improvementsMonitor patient waitlists and make appropriate adjustments or recommendations to ensure timely access to servicesEnsure standards for instrument and equipment sterilization are maintainedEnsure guidelines for waste management through the Environmental Protection Act are maintainedCoordinate and follow up on the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) X-ray inspection visitsSubmit MOHLTC applications for suite design and new equipmentWork in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, report hazards, deficiencies and contraventions of the Act, in a timely mannerCorporate Responsibilities:Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelinesBe responsible for and ensure that all staff supervised are trained and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelinesSkills & Qualifications:Certification in area of responsibility by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)Completion of a recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Diagnostic Imaging specialty such as Radiological Science, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
