Overview

Sister Carmelina’s Preschool Academy is a private, not for profit Catholic childcare centre located in the heart of Woodbridge managed by the Passionist Sisters since 2010. We offer programs for children 18 months to 4.5 years of age following the emergent curriculum. The centre offers faith-based learning in an early childhood environment with RECEs and provides a sanctuary for children in the community.

We are searching for additions to our incredible team! With a diverse culture, we are looking to extend our teaching team and are currently hiring a full time RECE to be a part of our warm and loving environment. This is a full-time permanent position. The candidate must be available to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Duties

- Build positive relationships with children, caregivers and staff
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times
- Offer strong academic learning opportunities




- Be able to respond to children’s needs including diapering and assisting with toilet training
- Work collaboratively with a team
- Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families
- Clean and sanitize child care spaces, toys and equipment
- Follow our policies and procedures according to the Ministry of Education

Requirements

- Registered Early Childhood Educator Diploma or Degree
- Registered and a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Minimum of six months experience working with children in a child care setting
- Knowledge and awareness of Catholic traditions and holidays or the willingness to learn
- Current Standard first aid/ CPR Level C certificate
- Updated immunization records
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check

Pay: $27.86 per hour
