JOB PURPOSE

The Medical Laboratory Technologist 3 is responsible for performing routine and specialized clinical and technical work for a specific area or areas. This position may include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology, holding a practicing (non-temporary) license and in good standing with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressive related experience. Demonstrated supervisory abilities may be required.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Medical Laboratory Technologist 3 is responsible for:





- Performing routine and specialized procedures and/or supervising this work
- Providing clinical consultations and guidance
- Training and providing support to staff
- Monitoring quality control and troubleshooting problems
- Developing, evaluating and implementing procedures and equipment
- Developing and monitoring maintenance programs
- Inventory Control
