Position Description

CGI is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, financial management, and successful delivery of multiple technology projects in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate operates independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting the organization's ongoing Agile transformation.

This role requires a well-rounded project manager with experience delivering both application development and infrastructure initiatives. Strong project financial management, executive-level communication, detailed documentation, and the ability to occasionally perform Scrum Master responsibilities are important to success in this position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, scope, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to establish project priorities, resource requirements, dependencies, and delivery plans.
- Own project financial management, including budget development, monthly forecasting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Develop resource plans and optimize project financials to support efficient allocation of resources.
- Provide clear, timely executive-level communications covering project status, key financial metrics, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, governance, reporting, and tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage application development and infrastructure initiatives using appropriate Agile and Waterfall delivery practices.
- Manage project backlogs and delivery tracking through Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools, including project setup and story-point tracking.
- Support the organization's ongoing Agile transformation and perform Scrum Master responsibilities as required, including facilitating daily stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies.
- Proactively identify and address delivery challenges while operating independently and maintaining strong attention to detail.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role





- 7-10+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager within an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading both application development and infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong project financial management experience, including budget creation, resource planning, monthly forecasting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of capital expenditures (CapEx), operating expenditures (OpEx), and depreciation.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with executive-level stakeholders, providing timely updates and maintaining stakeholder alignment.
- Experience reporting key financial metrics, project risks and issues, and mitigation plans to executive stakeholders.
- Strong experience tracking and optimizing project financials to support efficient resource allocation.
- Experience using project management and tracking tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), PPM tools, and ServiceNow will be an asset, including managing project backlogs and accounting for story points.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments, with experience supporting Agile transformation and performing Scrum Master responsibilities as needed.
- Solid data analysis skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to operate independently with a proactive, self-driven approach.

Assets
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
- Technical background, including previous professional experience in software development.
- Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Experience with Workday.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role.



The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000-$145,000.
