Shape the future of microbiological research as a Professor in Bacteriophage Biology & Evolution at UBC. The role focuses on bacteria-phage dynamics and interdisciplinary collaborations.

At the University of British Columbia, we are seeking a distinguished applicant for a faculty position in Bacteriophage Biology & Evolution. This position requires a PhD and postdoctoral experience, coupled with a proven track record in impactful research. You will lead an innovative program, engage in student supervision, and teach microbiology courses, while being a crucial member of the PrePARE research cluster that addresses infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct pioneering research in bacteria-phage interactions • Mentor and supervise graduate and postdoctoral researchers • Develop and teach courses on relevant microbiological topics • Establish collaborations with departments across UBC • Contribute to the academic and scientific community activities

Requirements: • PhD with postdoctoral experience in microbiology or related fields • Proven research accomplishments with strong publication history • Ability to secure externally funded research • Commitment to fostering an inclusive research workplace • Willingness to participate in interdisciplinary projects
