We’re looking for a

Senior Communications Advisor

to join our head office located in

Vernon, British Columbia . Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Minimum of

7-10 years of progressive experience

in a strategic communications role.

University degree

in Public Relations/Communications.

Proven

execution of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies

in a corporate environment.

Strategic

communications planning and project management experience .

Experience in development and execution of both

internal and external communication strategies

and tactics in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills .

Demonstrated

initiative

and

accountability to deliver results .

Experience in

leading through influence

- holds others accountable in a positive and effective manner without having direct authority.

Superior

relationship building skills

with an ability to prioritize collaborative engagement with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.

Confident and articulate , able to share ideas while maintaining a robust sense of team, while continually evaluating what is best for the organization.

Must have a continuing record of professional development.





Experience in the forestry industry, or other resource-based manufacturing business considered an asset.

In this role you will:

Deliver

communication services, plans and programs

that enable strategic business priorities.

Provide

strategic counsel

and

communications support

to Tolko leaders and team members at all levels of the organization.

Collaborate with Operating and Service Teams to

bolster employee engagement

and

strategic alignment

through the use of standardized tools and processes across the business.

Understand, appropriately engage, and be an ambassador for the services model, our brand, and communication processes on behalf of the Communications Team.

Work as part of an

emergency response team

to support issues affecting Tolko.

Prepare briefs for senior management as required.

Travel frequently to operations sites (anticipate a minimum of once per quarter).

$95,250 to $127,000 per year.
