A Quebec-based insurer is seeking an SDET to enhance the quality of its savings ecosystem within a high-volume transaction setting that combines modern and wealth management systems.

The core of the role is to automate critical validations, both front-end and back-end, and to thoroughly diagnose problems. The work encompasses interfaces, integrations, APIs, and back-end processes, with a significant investigative component across application layers. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team already in deployment and contribute to preventing defects rather than testing at the end of the process.

The client is seeking a highly technically focused Software Development Engineer (SDET), integrated into a Fusion Team, whose value lies in both investigation and automation. The environment is characterized by high transaction volume and combines modern and legacy systems, with validations impacting both the front-end and back-end, integrations, APIs, and back-end processes. Automation is based on Reqnroll and Playwright, written in C# and TypeScript, with the potential to integrate other tools.

The priority is value creation through automation and defect prevention, not manual test execution. The ideal candidate will understand data flows, diagnose across application layers using logs, database data, and monitoring, and then automate relevant validations.
