We are currently seeking an Senior
QA Analyst with Field Services experience
to join our team. While Ontario is the preferred location, we welcome candidates from across Canada.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze business, functional, and system requirements related to
Field Services applications and workflows , identifying testing requirements and potential gaps.
Validate end-to-end Field Services processes, including
work order creation and management, scheduling, dispatch, technician assignments, field activities, status updates, and job completion .
Test integrations and data flows between Field Services platforms and supporting enterprise systems.
Collaborate with Systems Analysts, Developers, Business Stakeholders, and Field Operations teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies.
Create and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios for Field Services solutions.
Perform
functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing
across web, mobile,
and backend applications supporting field operations.
Validate mobile applications and workflows used by field technicians, including functionality, data synchronization, and usability.
Perform
API testing
and validate integrations between Field Services applications and upstream/downstream systems.
Develop detailed documentation capturing system design, business use cases, end-to-end workflows, and testing scenarios.
Provide support to Business Operations and Field Operations teams during
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) .
Identify, document, and report system defects and failures, working with technical teams to track issues through resolution and closure.
Provide progress reports highlighting testing advancement, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Support product delivery throughout all lifecycle phases, from requirements and design through validation and production release.
Recommend and support process improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Assurance practices.
Required Qualifications
University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
3+ years of QA/testing experience , ideally within telecommunications, utilities, or another environment with significant field operations.
Hands-on Field Service Management (FSM) experience , including testing FSM applications, systems, and end-to-end workflows.
Strong understanding of Field Services processes such as
work orders, technician scheduling, dispatch, appointments, field activities, and service completion .
Experience leading multiple teams and/or projects simultaneously , with the ability to coordinate testing activities,
priorities, dependencies, and deliverables across different workstreams.
Experience with
end-to-end, functional, integration, regression, UAT, and ORT testing .
Experience testing
mobile applications or solutions used by field technicians
is strongly preferred.
3+ years of API testing experience , including validating integrations and data flows between FSM and other enterprise systems.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to understand complex business processes and translate requirements into comprehensive testing scenarios.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Field Operations.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work effectively in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
