Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore is looking for an experienced Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our Service Team.

You’ll work on Subaru vehicles ranging from routine maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs, using up-to-date diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-recommended procedures.

A Day In Life

- Diagnose and repair Subaru vehicles using manufacturer procedures and dealership standards.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Identify vehicle concerns, determine appropriate repair solutions, and complete work efficiently and accurately.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical resources to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors and the rest of the Service Team.
- Complete road tests, quality-control inspections, and pre-delivery inspections when required.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain required components and manage warranty parts appropriately.
- Support fellow technicians and contribute to a positive, team-oriented shop.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all workplace safety requirements, dealership policies, and Subaru standards.

What We’re Looking For
- Red Seal Automotive Technician certification.
- Previous experience working as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting,



and repair skills.
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
- Ability to confidently operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitude.
- A willingness to continue learning and stay current with evolving automotive technology.
