This position actively participates in department education programs and is expected to adopt the interdisciplinary model, which defines the department and participates in a manner that embraces this model.QUALIFICATIONSEducationGrade 12.Bachelor degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work.Valid driver's license.ExperienceThree (3)



years supervised counseling experience in the field of Psychosocial Oncology or related experienceCandidates with two (2) years' experience and a Master's Degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work may be considered.MembershipMembership with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.SkillsDemonstrated experience and expertise in the recognized social work methodologies of counseling, group work, and community development.Knowledge of community, social and health care programs within the province.Communication skills required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations.Ability to plan and deliver education programs to patients, the public and other health care workers.Initiative and independent judgment required to solve complex problems.Human relations skills are required to develop relationships of an ongoing specialized nature to conduct in-depth counseling and develop short or long term goals for patients where situations are emotionally charged.Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people. #J-18808-Ljbffr
