Your Role & Impact

Under the guidance of Chief operating engineer, you will play a key role in addressing the following challenges:

Job Summary

Operate & maintain various control systems.

Responsibilities

- Operate automated control systems
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment
- Measure temperature flow and pressure
- Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
- Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Clean and lubricate machinery and components
- Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
- Write plant or building operation reports
- Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures




- Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Role

Requirements and Work Conditions

- Refrigeration B certification
- Must be proficient in the use of the Refrigeration Code and ensure proper handling of equipment and hand tools
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints
- Must have own tools
- Experience with computerized control systems, high- and low-pressure boilers, pumps, compressors, motors, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, ammonia refrigeration, cooling towers, HVAC, electronic controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Freon Refrigeration Air Handling Units an asset
- Will work closely with Maintenance department when required
