Job Title: Seeking local Registered Early Childhood Educator. Hourly rate inclusive of Provincial child care funding.

Job Overview: Registered Early Childhood Educators report to both the Supervisor and Executive Director.

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you are responsible for the planning and implementing of an inclusive, reflective and play based program. You are required to adhere to the center’s Program Statement, the Child Care Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen, Operating Criteria and Public Health Guidelines. As an RECE you are expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with families and co-workers.

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator you will provide leadership, guidance and support to the Educational Assistants, supply teachers, students and volunteers

Qualifications:





Must be Registered with the College of ECE; Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR- C certificate; Must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check

Working Conditions:

- Occasional heavy lifting as required.
- Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing from a “lower” position
- Working in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to illness
- Use of non-hazardous cleaning/disinfecting products to maintaining a clean and disinfected workplace
- Attendance at monthly meetings in evening and participation in career development in evenings
- May deal with conflict causing stress at times.
- Frequent interruptions and multiple tasks daily.

Pay: $32.09-$34.77 per hour
