Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history and specific concerns
- Develop customized massage therapy plans tailored to individual needs and goals
- Perform a range of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities as appropriate
- Maintain clear communication with clients before, during, and after sessions to ensure comfort and satisfaction
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or lifestyle adjustments when necessary
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation and infection control procedures
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress in compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Valid registration and licensure as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate regulatory body
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for clients
- Effective communication skills to clearly explain treatment plans and address client questions or concerns
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new graduates
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
