About the Clinic
AC Hemorrhoids & Anorectal Centre is a private outpatient specialty clinic in Calgary focused on the assessment and treatment of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal skin tags, and other common anorectal conditions.
Our services include office-based assessment, anoscopy, non-surgical treatments, clinic-based minor procedures, and structured post-procedure nursing care.
We are expanding our clinical team and are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) interested in specialty outpatient and procedural care.
- Full-Time /On Call
Daytime and weekday availability is preferred. Some Saturday shifts may be available.
Responsibilities
Depending on experience, designation, and scope of practice, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting patients during anorectal assessments and treatments
- Preparing patients and procedure rooms for minor procedures
- Assisting the treating clinician during office-based procedures
- Providing pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education
- Performing wound assessment and dressing changes within scope
- Monitoring patients immediately following procedures
- Conducting post-procedure follow-up calls
- Reviewing symptoms and identifying concerns that may require escalation to the treating provider
- Reinforcing bowel-management, hygiene, wound-care, and recovery instructions
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Cleaning, preparing, and maintaining clinical equipment and procedure rooms
- Supporting infection-prevention and sterilization processes
- Coordinating follow-up appointments and continuity of care
- Communicating professionally and compassionately with patients who may feel anxious or embarrassed about anorectal conditions

Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the applicable Alberta nursing regulatory college
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Excellent infection-control practices
- Comfortable working in a procedural environment
- Robust attention to detail and documentation
- Professional, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to sensitive health concerns
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with NPs, nurses, and other members of the clinical team
