This role has responsibility for leading physician engagement strategy and is charged with creating conditions for effective physician involvement in clinical transformation. Focused on values, mission, philosophy, strategic goals, and objectives; the position shares responsibility for patient care management within the hospital and functions as the hospital's Chief Medical Officer.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSThe Site Medical Lead & Chief Medical Officer is also a member of the Clinical Programs Leadership Team (CPLT), and provides shared operational oversight of the clinical programs and fosters a culture of inter-professional collaboration. This role maintains a particular focus on quality, coordination, collaboration and delivery on defined outcomes. As a strong relationship builder, you will ensure the hospital's goals and objectives are achieved through partnership strategies with the WRHA, other hospitals, and community agencies. You will also foster a supportive,



effective learning and academic environment and partnership with the University of Manitoba and other academic institutions.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures delivery of high quality clinical services at the St. Boniface HospitalAs a member of the Clinical Programs Leadership Team (CPLT), provides shared operational oversight of the clinical programs and models and fosters inter-professional collaborationFocuses on quality, coordination, collaboration, and delivery on defined outcomesPlans and prioritizes clinical servicesFosters supportive, effective learning, and the academic environment and partnership of the University Of Manitoba and other academic institutionsProvides leadership as a member of the Executive Team in formulating organizational strategies and establishing goals and objectivesEnsures that St. Boniface Hospital is a full partner within the regional and provincial context, in reporting in changing health needs of the populationInnovates health zone delivery and fosters an environment and culture of operational excellence (Innovation and continuous improvement via LEAN and principle based behaviours)Leads the physician engagement strategy by creating conditions for effective physician involvement in clinical transformationParticipates actively in medical staff leadership developmentEnsures compliance with medical staff bylaws and helps to ensure a respectful workplaceRepresents the Hospital regarding clinical patient care services, works closely with the WRHA and such other agencies and facilities, as those other individuals charged with similar responsibilities, ensures an integrated, efficient and effective health care delivery system within Winnipeg and ManitobaWORKING RELATIONSHIPSThe Executive Team, the Leadership Team, Management Team, and other Hospital personnel, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and other external partners, including the University of Manitoba, Medical Advisory Committee DirectorateQualificationsEDUCATION:Formal training in health care administration an assetMedical degree and Licensed with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba to practice medicine in the Province of ManitobaExperienceA minimum of five (5) years experience in field of practice requiredA minimum of five (5) years administrative and/or leadership experience involving medical staffA Medical Staff Appointment in the Winnipeg Regional Health AuthorityOther AttributesInnovator in health zone delivery, and will foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement via LEAN and principle based behaviors.As a proactive leader, you also will play an active role in leadership development for medical staff.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationshipsEvidence of leadership ability, creativity, integrity, initiative, and fiscal managementStrong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skillsStrong cooperative, communication, interpersonal, and team skillsClosing Date: September 4, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
