Drive the Assembly of First Nations’ mission as Senior Director, focusing on Workplace, Water, and Justice initiatives. Shape advocacy strategies that support First Nations communities. This pivotal role demands strong leadership while guiding planning, development, and implementation under the Environment Water and Justice Branch.

Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with AFN’s objectives and political mandates. A focus on First Nations governance and critical policy understanding is crucial. Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning and execution of workplace and justice initiatives
Create strategies to bolster national advocacy
Maintain relationships with First Nations and government partners




Provide insights and recommendations to AFN leadership
Develop comprehensive policy documents for advocacy Requirements:
University degree in related discipline, with a postgraduate preferred
Five years of experience in senior management
Proficient understanding of First Nations challenges
Experience with advocacy and legislative processes
Robust political and legal framework knowledge Leverage your expertise to promote First Nations rights and foster sustainable development.
