Duties

- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools with precision and attention to detail
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete work efficiently and safely
- Identify and address surface imperfections or repairs needed before painting begins
- Protect furniture, fixtures, flooring, and surrounding areas from paint splatters or damage during the painting process




- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project timelines and address any concerns
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper storage of tools for longevity and safety

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a residential painter or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and various types of paints, stains, and finishes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions if working outdoors
- Robust communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members effectively
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
