Restaurant Supervisor / Assistant Manager
Pita Pit – Dartmouth, NS
We are looking for an experienced, dependable and motivated Restaurant Supervisor / Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.
This is not simply a crew-member position with a supervisor title. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a shift, lead a team, maintain high standards and help ensure the restaurant operates successfully every day.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead and supervise team members throughout the shift and ensure restaurant standards are consistently maintained.
- Actively monitor the restaurant floor and ensure customers are never left waiting without being acknowledged or receiving attention.
- Lead the team during busy and high-pressure periods while remaining calm, professional and organized.
- Support, coach and develop team members to provide excellent hospitality and customer service.
- Lead by example by demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, professionalism and a willingness to step in wherever needed.
- Help create a positive team environment where employees communicate, work together and support one another.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, freshness and presentation.
- Ensure proper food-safety, sanitation and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
- Oversee opening and/or closing procedures.
- Ensure prep, stocking, cleaning and shift duties are completed properly and on time.
- Manage cash and POS procedures.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and stock management.
- Keep the restaurant clean, organized, stocked and ready for business.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly.
- Help maintain strong productivity and appropriate labour levels.
- Hold team members accountable to restaurant policies and expectations in a professional and respectful manner.
- Take responsibility for restaurant operations when senior management is not present.
- Be prepared to step in and assist with food preparation, customer service, cleaning or other operational duties when required.

Experience Restaurant/Food-Service Supervisory or Management Experience: Preferred
We are willing to train the right person on Pita Pit's systems and procedures, but we are specifically looking for someone who already brings maturity, leadership ability, initiative and a strong work ethic to the position.

Experience:
- Restaurant management: 3 years (preferred)
- Hospitality: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safety course (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
