A career as a Senior Director Financial Governance and Compliance – Finance in the Accounting, Consolidation and Disclosure team at National Bank means playing a strategic and oversight role in managing the program related to Regulation 52-109 to ensure the reliability of the financial information disclosed by the Bank. It also involves exercising an independent oversight role over regulatory compliance for the Finance function.Your roleOversee the 52-109 financial certification program, including quarterly and annual certification processesAdvise business lines and corporate sectors on controls related to financial integrity and recommend improvements to internal controlsProduce strategic reports for the disclosure, audit and management committeesEnsure the quality of published financial reports (annual, quarterly) with a critical eye on disclosureOversee certification processes for programs related to securitization, regulatory capital/capital statements, leverage statements and liquidity statements, providing findings for attestation purposesAct as the second line of defense in terms of regulatory compliance for the Finance sectorDiagnose compliance deficiencies, recommend solutions and follow up on action plansParticipate in large‐scale strategic projects and complex analysesYour teamAs part of the Accounting, Consolidation and Disclosure team, you will join a team dedicated to creating long‐term value and will report directly to the Co‐Head of Accountant and Senior Vice‐President. You will work on an inclusive, engaged, dynamic team that likes to take on challenges and where team spirit and collaboration are key values.PrerequisitesA completed bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of experience or a completed master's degree in a related field and 8 years of experienceProfessional Accountant designation (CPA) with solid experience in accounting, audit and complianceExcellent knowledge of the Bank's activities and processes,
