You will work as part of the Security Team, providing a welcoming and skilled first point of contact for customers and readers while helping to keep people, buildings and collections protected. You will respond to emergency situations, maintain transparent and accurate records, patrol public and reader areas, check access to restricted areas, conduct routine searches of bags and lockers, and ensure buildings and alarm systems are secure and functioning. You will also respond to enquiries by telephone and face to face and undertake appropriate support tasks in sensitive or restricted areas.
