Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Route Supervisor based out of our Port Coquitlam, BC office. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring efficient route completion, and addressing maintenance and safety issues. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead a team of route collection personnel.
- Schedule, plan, and monitor waste collection routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Ensure all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements are followed on routes.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Monitor vehicle performance and coordinate with maintenance for repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Municipalities’ personnel and address inquiries, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist management with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or technical training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; Class 3 Driver's license preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in waste collection, transportation,



or related field.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of waste management operations, safety regulations, and route planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and route management software is an asset.
- Must be able to work during weekends and after hours when required.
