Responsibilities
Install roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membrane systems according to project specifications and blueprints
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure watertight seals around flashings, vents, and edges
Assist with surface preparation, including framing, carpentry, or minor structural repairs as needed
Conduct thorough inspections during and after installation to ensure quality standards are met and identify potential issues early
Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety guidelines at all times
Experience
Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades preferred
Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and utility knives
Basic carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments required for roof installations
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately
Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications beneficial
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably
Handyman experience or general construction background is a plus but not mandatory
