Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is vital in ensuring the successful installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on various projects. As a Roofer/Labourer, you will work closely with experienced tradespeople to learn and execute essential roofing tasks while supporting general construction activities.

Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
Support carpenters and other tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to blueprints and project specifications
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
Use caulking techniques to seal joints and prevent leaks as part of roofing procedures
Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate installation processes




Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Skills
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring tapes
Construction experience, preferably in roofing or general building projects
Robust carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting materials accurately
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
Knowledge of blueprint reading to understand project layouts and specifications
Experience with caulking for sealing joints and seams effectively
Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various construction tasks
