Overview The British Market is a small, independently owned grocery store in Burlington. We import and sell British grocery, snacks and merchandise

Duties
Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service
Work independently - you'll often be the sole employee in the shop
Receive deliveries
Restock shelves
Handle cash management duties including cashiering and cash handling
Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent people etiquette and communication skills
Identify areas to improve customer experience

Experience
Proven experience within retail environments with a robust background in retail sales management
Ability to sell alcohol (19+ years old)




Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent time management capabilities
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail software applications
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Shifts
Shift are generally 9am-2pm or 2pm-7pm
We try to average 15 hours/week per employee, sometimes more to accommodate vacations, sometimes a little less when everyone is available.

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour
