Deliver compassionate care as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Oncology-Palliative Unit at North York General Hospital. This part-time role focuses on patient-centered care while engaging with a multi-disciplinary team.
In this challenging role, you will provide excellent patient and family-driven care within a culturally sensitive framework. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to assess, educate, and maintain patient health. Prioritizing health and safety, you will foster relationships across the organization, contributing to a supportive workplace for patients and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care adhering to nursing practice guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams




• Prioritize tasks based on patient needs and assessments
• Manage transfers, lifts, and ensure safety procedures
• Engage in professional development and quality improvement
Requirements:
• Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized college
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Medication Certificate
• One year experience in Medicine/General Surgery preferred
• Bilingual in French/English is an asset
