We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Operate industrial scales and related equipment to weigh incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as MRP or AS400 to document weights, dimensions, and shipment details
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging to prepare items for shipment or storage
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Verify order accuracy through basic math calculations and ensure proper packaging for safe transit
- Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to coordinate timely dispatches and arrivals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scale area, ensuring all safety standards are met
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution environment or e-commerce fulfillment center preferred
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or similar material handling equipment; forklift certification is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems, or AS400 platforms
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and inventory control
- Strong basic math skills for accurate measurement and data entry
- Previous experience in order picking, load & unload operations, or packaging roles is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
