:
The Senior Account Director is the senior business partner for assigned pharmaceutical clients, responsible for driving business growth, leading integrated teams, and delivering exceptional client service across complex brands and portfolios.
This role combines commercial leadership, strategic thinking, regulatory expertise, and innovation to help clients navigate Canada's evolving healthcare landscape. The Senior Account Director is expected to proactively identify opportunities that improve brand performance, leverage emerging technologies, elevate creative thinking, and strengthen long-term agency partnerships.
Client Leadership:
- Serves as the senior strategic advisor across assigned brands and client businesses.
- Develops deep understanding of clients' business objectives, competitive landscape, market dynamics and healthcare environment.
- Leads annual brand planning, launch planning and integrated campaign development.
- Challenges conventional thinking by bringing proactive recommendations that create measurable business value.
- Assists with current business and identify opportunities for organic business growth and expanded agency partnerships.
Business Performance:
- Maintains overall accountability for account profitability, forecasting accuracy and financial health.
- Manages client budgets, revenue forecasting, staffing plans,
scopes of work and change orders.
- Partners with Finance and Project Management to proactively identify business risks and solutions.
- Supports new business pitches, proposal development and commercial negotiations.
Team Development:
- Manages, motivates, and develops team through consistent mentorship incl. performance reviews.
- Fosters collaboration across Strategy, Medical, Creative, Production.
- Build an inclusive, positive culture that encourages curiosity, innovation and accountability.
Maximum $144K CAD Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
