About the Organization Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. About The Opportunity We are looking to hire a Safety & Training Manager to join our Timmins Operations team in Timmins, ON. on a full-time basis.



The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day. Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible. Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position. Foster and promote a positive safety culture across the site. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of site Safety and Training programs. Deliver and support training related to mine site safe operating procedures, while contributing to procedure reviews, updates, and improvements. Ensure site training programs are effectively structured, documented, and aligned with corporate standards and guidance. Develop, manage, and monitor the Safety and Training budget. Oversee the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of training compliance for employees, contractors, and site-specific training requirements. Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with all applicable record-keeping requirements. Prepare and submit regular training and safety reports to Corporate. Support initiatives aimed at reducing the site's injury frequency rate. Assist the Health and Safety Department in promoting safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of training programs. Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and company policies, procedures, and standards.



Conduct regular site inspections and training audits to verify worker compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned. More About You While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply. The following will be critical to successfully performing this role: 10+ years of related mining experience, preferably in an underground mining environment 10+ years in industrial safety and training management Strong communication, coaching and facilitation skills Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple training requirements, schedules and priorities Strong computer skills, including the ability to maintain training records, update databases, and work with common Microsoft Office Programs. Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation preferred Familiarization with Safety programs such as Critical Risk Management (CRM), Human Organizational Performance (HOP) are robust assets. Overall, you are a motivated team player who demonstrates compliance with all health and safety regulations.
