We are seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Air Systems / Pneumatics to join our team in Dorval, QC . In this role, you will lead pneumatics discipline activities, manage supplier technical integration, and drive aircraft system development from architecture design through certification and in-service support.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Systems Integration: Define pneumatic system architecture, write specifications, perform functional modeling, and manage interface integration with internal teams and suppliers.
Requirements & Certification: Manage engineering requirements, validation & verification (V&V;), and compile engineering technical reports to ensure compliance with certification standards.
Supplier & Document Review: Oversee technical supplier deliverables, including vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports, and acceptance test procedures (ATPs).
Testing & In-Service Support: Support ground/flight test platforms, document engineering analysis, assist with build operations, and troubleshoot issues for production and in-service aircraft.
Continuous Improvement: Develop design change modifications, adhere to program milestones, and contribute to the Bombardier Engineering System (BES) knowledge base.
Basic Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering .
Experience: 5+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace engineering.
Technical Knowledge: Robust understanding of fluid flow, thermodynamic concepts, and basic knowledge of pneumatics and interfacing disciplines (avionics, power plant, system installation).
Standards & Tools:
Familiarity with component qualification standards ( DO-160 , MIL-STD-810) and Design Process Assurance ( ARP4754A ).
Proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or functional simulation software.
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
Mobility: Willingness to travel for short-term assignments as needed.
