This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDesign integrated municipal roadway, provincial highway, transit facilities, and active transportation facilities projects for clients in the province and for other major municipalities in the provinceAssist project managers in delivering large multi-disciplinary transportation projects to our clientsProject management of small to medium-sized transportation projects during planning, design,
and contract administration phases including financial performances.Lead projects or technical components of projects from planning through design and technical support during construction.Plan, organize and control project budgets and schedules.Work with the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedulesProvide direction to engineering staff in the preparation of designs, design drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications, and cost estimates for municipal road and highway engineering workPrepare correspondence, engineering reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutesAbility to lead a team of professionals on projects, as well as liaise with clients and sub-consultantsProvide project guidance and mentoring for junior staffProvide Quality Management reviews by ensuring corporate policies are followed and documentedYour Capabilities and CredentialsKnowledge of applicable design standardsOutstanding communication, documentation, and proposal writing skillsPast experience in contract administration is an assetEducation and ExperienceB.A.Sc. or B.Eng.
degree in Civil/Structural Engineering programMinimum 6 years of experience in the transportation design engineering field preferably with local experience in the consulting industryP.Eng designation or ability to register Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
