Product Specialist – Outboard Motors & Marine Rigging Parts
Are you a marine industry professional with strong knowledge of outboard motors, recreational boating and marine rigging? We are recruiting for a highly specialized Product Specialist to join a well-established organization in the recreational products industry.
This full-time, hybrid position is based in North York and offers a salary range of $85,000–$95,000, based on experience and qualifications.
The Product Specialist will serve as a key resource for outboard motor sales, product planning, marine rigging integration and technical product support.
Key responsibilities:
Develop product plans based on market research, industry data and customer feedback
Conduct competitive analysis of marine products, pricing, features and benefits
Provide detailed product information and ongoing support to internal sales and marketing teams
Create training materials for dealers, boat builders and internal staff
Develop rigging sales guides, product information guides and launch materials
Work with Parts & Accessories teams to ensure appropriate marine rigging components are available for product launches
Apply MRP knowledge to improve marine rigging solutions and product availability
Provide technical application support for government tenders and quotations
Participate in dealer, consumer, media and industry events
What we’re looking for:
5–10 years of relevant experience within the recreational boating industry
Strong knowledge of outboard motors, marine products and rigging systems
Post-secondary education in a technical, research, academic or related discipline
Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
Ability to clearly communicate technical product features and customer benefits
Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s licence and Pleasure Craft Operator Card
