Role Description The Senior CPA is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area, working primarily out of PSG CPA’s Surrey office. This role involves managing and reviewing financial statements, leading tax planning and compliance engagements for corporate and individual clients, and overseeing assurance, audit, and compilation (NTR) assignments. The Senior CPA will supervise junior team members, ensure the quality and accuracy of work, and provide advisory services on business structures, cash flow,



and growth strategies for small to medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Daily responsibilities also include communicating with clients, resolving complex accounting and tax issues, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and contributing to process improvements and firm development initiatives.

Qualifications

- Active Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, with Canadian public practice experience.
- Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and providing financial advisory support.
- Expertise in Tax Preparation and tax planning for individuals, small to medium-sized businesses, and not-for-profit entities.
- Hands-on experience with assurance and audit engagements, bookkeeping oversight, and compliance with relevant qualified and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with strong written and verbal communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members, manage multiple deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site office environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; additional certifications or specialization in tax or assurance are an asset.
