What Will You Do?
- Manage network security incident escalations from first-level support and stakeholders, performing thorough analysis and coordinating with vendor teams to implement permanent solutions
- Own security infrastructure maintenance including patch management, software upgrades, and configuration changes across the enterprise to maintain technology currency and security standards
- Execute infrastructure modifications and upgrades with meticulous planning, testing, and validation to ensure system stability and compliance
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues using packet analysis and protocol inspection to diagnose root causes
- Lead operational activities such as disaster recovery exercises, maintenance windows, and major network changes from a security perspective
- Validate new security technologies by defining technical requirements, conducting lab testing, and ensuring production readiness
- Enhance operational processes by creating documentation, identifying automation opportunities, and driving continuous improvement
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies through participation in training and technology reviews
What You Need to Succeed
Must Have
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and maintaining enterprise security appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, Citrix, Cisco Firepower, or equivalent)
- Expert understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and core protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, NAT)
- Proficiency in packet analysis tools for troubleshooting network and security issues
- Solid scripting and coding experience in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages for automation
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience with AI-assisted tools for infrastructure monitoring, analysis, or optimization
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and senior leadership
- Exceptional collaborative mindset with the ability to foster solid working relationships across technical and business teams while driving collective achievement of organizational goals
Nice-to-Have:
- CISSP or CCNP R&S; certification
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs) for security operations tasks
