Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced and wine passionate individuals with customer-focused sales experience within the wine industry to represent our brands (Stonebridge and Lailey) and drive wine sales in our retail store and tasting area. This position requires excellent hospitality skills, engaging storytelling, and the confidence to build connections with guests throughout their tasting experience.
This available shifts for this role will be primarily weekends and fluctuate through the off-season with more shifts in September, November, January, February and May, than are likely in October, December and April. As the 2027 summer season picks up, more shifts will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging wine tastings that highlight our small batch, ultra premium wines and winemaking
Support sales of wine and wine club memberships
Maintain a polished, organized retail setting
Perform POS transactions and store opening/closing duties
Work collaboratively as part of the Lailey team
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of hospitality, or premium sales experience
Smart Serve certification (required)
Passion for fine wine; (industry certifications, WSET etc, are an asset but not required)
Ability to stand, lift up to 20 kg, and work weekends/holidays
Reliable transportation to and from Niagara-on-the-Lake
Weekend and holiday availability and wine knowledge and hospitality experience are required. Compensation & Perks:
Competitive hourly wage starting at $18.00/hr +tips
