Become a Part time Psychiatrist at Vancouver Coastal Health, located in the Detwiller Pavilion, UBC Hospital, starting September 1, 2026. Play a critical role in treating complex mental health disorders through partnership with an interdisciplinary team. This position requires a medical degree and active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.

You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients facing severe mental health challenges, particularly treatment-resistant psychosis. Engage in cooperative care while making significant contributions to medical education and research. Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized mental health evaluations and diagnoses
Treat patients with treatment-resistant psychosis




Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary health team
Participate in academic and research activities
Mentor and train medical students and residents

Requirements:
Medical degree and valid BC licensure
Specialist training in Psychiatry required
Experience in psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation
Understanding of recovery-oriented practices
Commitment to teamwork in mental health care
