Overview:

Cora’s Breakfast & Lunch on Waverley Street is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time Line Cook to join our team for weekends and some weekdays.

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a rapid-paced restaurant environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Maintain a clean and organized work station and perform various cleaning and opening/closing duties
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Help with the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff

Qualifications:
Previous work experience as a Line Cook or enrolled in a culinary school such M.I.T.T. (1 year minimum)
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology




Strong understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and food safety regulations
Ability to work well under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
