We are seeking a dedicated Criminal Defence Lawyer, with a minimum of 4 years experience, to join our growing practice.Position SummaryThe successful candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing criminal law and will handle a diverse caseload. The role involves managing files at all stages, from intake and bail to trial and sentencing.ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in criminal matters including bail hearings, trials, guilty pleas, and sentencingAppear regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice and, where applicable, the Superior Court of JusticeConduct legal research and prepare Charter applications, motions, submissions, and trial materialsDraft clear and persuasive legal documents,



including pleadings and written argumentsNegotiate with Crown and Provincial Prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clientsMaintain consistent, skilled communication with clients and provide strategic and timely legal adviceWork collaboratively with other counsel and legal support staffQualificationsMember in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioMinimum four (4) years of experience practicing criminal lawDemonstrated courtroom and trial experience is a mustStrong oral and written advocacy skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload independentlyCompensation: $120,000.00- $150,000.00Job Type: Full-time, permanentWork Arrangement: in office, with flexibility #J-18808-Ljbffr
