Become a Geotechnical Field Technician with WSP in the Alberta oil sands. This role requires executing field programs and ensures protected, effective project delivery. WSP invites geotechnical professionals for a fly-in/fly-out role in Fort McMurray’s groundbreaking oil sands program.
During your two weeks in office, you will manage critical geotechnical investigations, collaborating with a vast team of experts. This position contributes significantly to a multi-year project that shapes resource development in the region. Key Responsibilities:
Advocate for safety protocols and practices
Perform drilling, soil sampling, and monitoring tasks
Organize and maintain field data logs
Assist in laboratory testing for design input
Work alongside cross-functional teams in office Requirements:
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology preferred
Experience in field-based geotechnical investigations
Familiarity with industry-standard data software
Strong organizational and independent work skills
