Join UHN as a General Practitioner specializing in oncology, focusing on pediatric cancer survivors. In this part time role, you'll offer vital support in a weekly Survivorship Clinic. Based at the prestigious Princess Margaret Hospital, this position is ideal for compassionate practitioners who engage with families navigating life after cancer.
You'll utilize guidelines from the Children’s Oncology Group, create surveillance recommendations, and ensure follow-ups. Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team will enhance the care provided to young cancer survivors, primarily through in-person visits. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a weekly clinic for pediatric cancer survivors
Implement follow-up plans under Children’s Oncology Group guidelines
Disseminate recommendations to primary care providers
Organize and follow up on surveillance investigations
Collaborate with the SickKids Aftercare Team Requirements:
Licensed and in valuable standing with CPSO
Experience in acute cancer care preferred
Solid commitment to patient-centered care
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective relationship building Enhance the well-being of pediatric cancer survivors through dedicated clinical support and collaboration at UHN.
