We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Dispenser to join our dynamic optical practice. Duties
Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their prescription and lifestyle needs
Measure and verify prescriptions accurately using optical equipment
Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear maintenance
Frame repairs
Process insurance claims and manage patient records efficiently using an electronic health record systems.
Maintain inventory of optical products and ensure cleanliness of the dispensing area
Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Stay updated on the latest optical trends, products, and industry standards
Qualifications
Prior experience in optical dispensing, retail sales, or laboratory work preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is a plus
Experience with optical EMR systems is desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and assist patients effectively
Ability to work well in a team environment with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and improving patient satisfaction
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
