Commencing
September 1, 2026, you will provide essential counselling services that prioritize social-emotional health and support among K-12 students. Collaborate closely with families, school teams, and community agencies to create a comprehensive support system. Your contribution to reconciliation and culturally secure practices will have a lasting impact on students' learning journeys. Key Responsibilities:
Offer counselling to students, focusing on individual and group needs
Enhance social-emotional wellbeing through targeted support
Collaborate with school personnel for optimized student assistance
Communicate with families for enhanced wellbeing and engagement
Contribute to crisis response and document ethical practices Requirements:
Valid BC Teaching Certificate and School Counsellor qualifications
Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or relevant field
Experience in counselling children and youth
Familiarity with trauma-informed counseling methods
