Duties
Carefully sort and inspect live lobsters, ensuring only healthy, high-quality crustaceans are selected for packing
Operate packaging machinery and manual tools to securely pack lobsters in appropriate containers
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout the processing area
Monitor and document product quality, freshness, and packaging consistency throughout shifts
Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and tools regularly to meet industry hygiene standards
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety procedures
Experience
Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing, or seafood packing is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures in a commercial setting
Familiarity with packaging techniques and equipment used in food industry settings
Basic mechanical knowledge useful for troubleshooting packaging machinery or equipment issues
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and quality standards
