Stantec is on the lookout for a dedicated engineer specializing in tailings management to join its Tailings and Mine Waste team.

You will be responsible for the design and oversight of critical geotechnical structures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities:
Design tailings and waste storage facilities in compliance with standards
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety reviews
Develop and review closure plans and technical documentation




Collaborate with field teams to support project execution
Produce high-quality reports and deliverables throughout project phases Requirements:
Master’s or PhD in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization
At least 15 years of relevant experience in mining
Solid command of software tools like Geo-Slope and AutoCAD
Proven track record of technical decision-making
