Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role - Level 2 or higher
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Familiarity with automotive and heavy duty repair and maintenance procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
-Familiar with the tools of the trade and equipped with adequate supply of hand tools -Experience working on school buses considered an asset
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment, including but not limited to trucks, school buses , trailers and other heavy equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools,
power tools, and welding equipment
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations
